Recently, AxNano gained acceptance to TechConnect World Innovation Conference for 2015. The conference is an annual event designed to catalyze the commercialization of innovations out of the lab and into the industry.
The excitement unfolds as AxNano prepares to discuss an Advanced Manufacturing Process for Producing Carbon Nanofiber Yarns on June 16th. In this presentation, AxNano will discuss the development of a high-throughput advanced process of forming bundles of nano-fibers, making nanofiber yarns. This unique design yields carbon fibers with greater structural perfection of carbon fibers, providing an improved structural material for applications in commercial space travel, air travel and cargo, and passenger vehicles/ground shipping industries.
The project specifically addresses the fundamental issues in mass manufacturing continuous and high strength carbon nanofiber yarns, weaves, and next gen carbon nanofiber yarn–reinforced polymeric composites.
Along side AxNano in presenting in the Advanced Manufacturing Program are notable companies such as Panasonic, Samsung, Michelin, Corning, Magna, and Boeing.
AxNano is scheduled to meet Federal Agencies including MDA, NASA, and EPA and will be also meet with numerous corporate entities.
There are expectations of over 4,000 participants from over 70 countries in the combined TechConnect, Nanotech, and Cleantech Programs.
