Nanomanufacturing consortium adds 10 members, includes AxNano and TGP.
Ten new members have been added to the Nanomanufacturing Innovation Consortium since the group was established last year by the Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering and Gateway University Research Park.

“The Nanomanufacturing Innovation Consortium was formed in July 2013 with an initial group of members that included RF Micro Devices, Syngenta and VF Jeanswear among others. Members pay a fee to join the NIC and in return gain access to the JSNN’s cutting-edge equipment as well as access to ideas and expertise from the school’s scientists.
“Other companies have joined since including International Textile Group’s Cone Denim and Burlington divisions, Callaway Carbons, Horiba and AxNano.
Technology Development Group // AxNano drives research and development for Triad Growth Partners as a resource for new ideas. We connect new and emerging ideas to potential users. Agencies such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), Department of Defense (DOD), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and NASA all recognize TDG//AxNano as a valuable and preferred partner in developing technologies.
Strong Relationships. We utilize our relationships with universities, federal laboratories, and commercial companies. Our Board and Scientific Advisors have extensive connections in the Triad, the region, and the national business community. Locally, we are active in development discoveries made at JSNN and bringing them to market.
AxNano, LLC is headquartered in Danville, Virginia. The goal of AxNano is to help researchers, scientists and end users of potential technology address specific market opportunities. AxNano, LLC was acquired by Triad Growth Partners in November 2013.
